Over the last month I have dipped my toes into affiliate marketing and I like what I saw. I earned $150 in 15 days last month and I put in minimal effort. This is going to boost my income exponentially and will boost yours too so you should think about signing up.

3. I am getting articles written for me

I have not had a lot of time to write articles for affiliate marketing because I am already a freelance writer and I am writing most of the day. I was writing about 3-5 articles per week. I am now going to get articles written for me so that I can produce 20-200 articles per week. This will grow my income incredibly.

4. I am making better landing pages

I actually paid someone to create a landing page for me. It is not yet live but it will be within 24 hours and it is optimized for conversions. It also has an exit popup to convert (and possible annoy) many more people. This landing page will be much better than the current one I have here and it should do the job.

So as you can see I am getting serious about this affiliate marketing stuff and no one is going to stop me becoming successful. If you want to become successful then you too need to get serious

I have decided that this year is going to be my year. I am going to have huge success this year. I have also decided the different ways I am going to make money online. There are literally thousands of ways you can make money online and you are only limited by your imagination. Here are a few I am going to use to make money online. Undoubtably I will discover even more ways to make money online this year but these are what I will be using to begin with

1. Blogging

I know in the last month my blog post regularity has decreased. But don’t be worried because this year I will be focusing a lot of building up my blog so it can produce a regular income. This means that there will be at least one post per day and as the year goes on it is likely that I will be free to produce two posts per day. That is once my income goes up. I will make money on my blog through advertising, site reviews and affiliate links.

2. Affiliate Marketing

Affiliate Marketing is probably the one place I will make most of my money this year. Most people fail at affiliate marketing because you lose money before you start making money and people give up. Well fortunately I am making money straight of the mark. I am constantly learning and growing in this area and I expect to be making $10,000 per month by the end of the year just through affiliate marketing. I market my products using Motive Interactive and I market them using this blog, article databases and pay per click campaigns.

3. Freelance Writing

At the moment this is where I am making the majority of my money. It is easy and simple to make money freelance writing and I make an average of $400-$500 per week freelance writing. With time I will begin to learn how to write sales pages and I will be able to charge more for my work. By the end of the year I will probably be making the same amount freelance writing but I will be working a lot less.

4. Selling Products

I have only tried to sell 2 of my own products in all my time online and I have made about $20 all up from these two products. Not exactly a lot of money, but it has shown me that there is a lot of potential to be had. You can make a lot of money by selling products and I plan to produce 5 different products this year to market and sell. The best thing about selling products is that other people can market them for you and you can make loads of money.

5. Flipping Websites

I was once bitter at flipping websites, but I am looking to flip at least one large website this year. I need to learn a lot more about website flipping first but I believe I will make a few thousand dollars this year from website flipping.

6. Tutoring Others

This is the market I have not yet tapped into. It has so much potential where I can make a lot of money. At the moment I am helping a few people out on MSN and I am offering one on one tutoring of affiliate marketing to those who sign up for Motive Interactive through this affiliate link. I love helping others one on one and this will make me a lot of money towards the end of the year when I have more time to teach others and more successful ventures under my belt.

7. Email Newsletter

If you have 10,000 email newsletter subscribers then you can easily make $1,000,000 per year. Current I have 250 email subscribers so I am 2.5% of the way there. It does not sound like a lot but those 250 subscribers will soon turn into 500, 1000, 2000, 5000 and then 10,000 +. My goal is to have 3,000+ email newsletter subscribers by the end of the year. I use aweber to send out my email newsletters and I recommend this service to anyone looking to make a lot of money online

Well the new year is finally upon us. It seems like 2008 just flew past. I had a massive year that was filled with some incredible things. I got engaged, then I got married, I moved out of home and I started working online full time.

In the start of 2008 I decided that it would be my year. Because I decided this I accomplished a lot. I have now decided that 2009 is going to be my year and it is going to be your year too. In order to have a great year this year you need to decide that this is your year. No matter what your circumstances or how bad your financial situation is at the moment you need to decide this is going to be your year.

I am already having a great year this year because I have decided to have one. I have gotten a lot of work freelance writing at my desired rate of $0.02 per word. This means I can earn enough money to start paying off the debt I have accumulated over the years. I am also starting to make a decent amount of money through affiliate marketing. This will make me even more profitable and will take me towards my goal of earning $100,000 in 2009.

Well 2009 is upon us and it is finally time for me to let you guys know exactly what my goals are for 2009.

In 2008 one of my biggest goals was to be earning a full time income online. Well I feel that I have achieved that as I work full time from home 5 days per week. I have achieved this dream and I no longer require a day job. However, I am earning this by doing things such as freelance writing which I do not enjoy as much as other things.

So here is a list of my goals for 2009. At the end of next year I will revisit these goals (like Tyler Cruz did on his blog) and see how I went.

1. Earn $100,000 Online

This is a big goal for me. Last year I only made about $10,000 (mainly because I was a student and was unemployed most of the year). This year I have the goal of earning over $100,000. This is a big jump but online anything is possible. I will be doing this through a variety of methods. Freelance writing, blogging, flipping websites, creating and selling products and affiliate marketing (and anything else I discover along the way). It is a massive goal but when you break it down I only need to earn $274/day which is most definately do-able.

2. 2009+ RSS Subscribers for my Blog

At the moment I have just over 350 RSS subscribers. Not a lot but it is a lot more than most blogs. By the end of 2009 I want to have over 2009 RSS subscribers. I will do this through giving away free stuff for subscribing, running killer competitions and continuing to produce top quality content.

3. Earn a Full Time Income From My Blog ($1,000/week)

If I have 2,009 RSS subscribers then I only need to make $2/month per reader. Tyler Cruz makes $3 per month for each of his readers so I think that this is achievable. I will not just be doing this through advertising but also through affiliate marketing and through my email newsletter list. 

I want to earn a full time income blogging because blogging is exactly what I love to do.

4. Earn $100+/Day Affiliate Marketing

At the moment I am making $10/day affiliate marketing and I have only been doing it for two weeks. My first goal is to reach $30 per day because then I can stop freelance writing and just focus solely on affiliate marketing. Then my next goal is to be earning $100/day or more through affiliate marketing. There are thousands of people out there that are doing this and I am going to be one of them.

5. Buy a Bread Maker

I have always wanted to own a bread maker because I love bread when it is fresh and hot. This was on my list of things to do for 2008 and I didn’t do it so it is back on the list for 2009.

6. Start a Christian Blog

I do not always want to be a MMO writer. Eventually I want to be a Christian writer. My relationship with God is one of the most defining things in my life and it has transformed me a lot. I want to be able to become a Christian writer to help others come to know God. I have the idea and the domain lined up so all I need to do is launch www.thedisciplinedseeker.com in 2009.

This is step #5 of How To Make $50 a Day Affiliate Marketing in Just One Month. In Step #1 we talked about signing up for an affiliate network. If you have not yet done that then you should sign up for Motive Interactive. Read Step #2 or read Step #3 or Step #4.

Step #5 - Sign Up For an Article Directory and Create a Killer Signature

When you are promoting your affiliate offer you will be doing this by using what is called ‘article marketing’ (aka Bum Marketing). You will be writing articles and publishing them to articles directory sites.

1. Sign Up For Article Directories

Firstly, sign up for these article directory sites. I recommend beginning with EzineArticles and then once you have published a good amount of articles on there you can go to GoArticles and create even more.

2. Create a Killer Signature Link

Secondly, and this is the important part, we need to create a killer signature. Your signature will appear at the bottom of all the posts that you submit to these websites. It needs to do its job of getting people to click on it and sign up for whatever it is you are offering.

Your signature link will link to the landing page you set up before. Your signature link will send people from your article, to your landing page and from your landing page they will go to the affiliate page. We are linking to a landing page because a lot of the article directories do not allow you to link directly to an affiliate website.

Have Something To Entice Readers With

In order to make a killer signature you need to have something to entice them with. Do they want to find out more information? Do they want to win a prize? What are you enticing your readers with to get them to click through?

Have a Specific Call To Action

You also need a specific call to action. People don’t automatically assume that if they click a link they will get whatever you are enticing them with. You need to tell them specifically. Say things like “Go to www.mywebsite.com to claim your prize” “Click Here to find out the secrets to ….”. By having a specific call to action more people will click through.

Make It Simple To Do

The harder it is for them to get to your site the less people will go. Make it super simple and super easy and you will get a lot more people.

Make It Catch Their Eye

Make it catch their eye. You want people to read your signature because if they never read it they will never click through. There are two ways you can get your signature to catch their eye

A. Make It Stand Out

By making your signature stand out (by using things such as colors or bold text) then you can catch people’s eye. Once you catch their eye you have more chance of them reading your signature and clicking through to your landing page. Its genius.

B. Make It Blend In

You can make it blend in so that it appear like it is part of the article. By doing this those who read your article all the way to the end will then read your signature. If your signature is good with an enticing call to action then it will do its job of converting people

Ok so by now you should have signed up for an affiliate marketing site such as Motive Interactive and you also should have found at least 5 products to promote and at least 30 keywords for each of those products. You should have also create a simple landing page on your own site, or on a free site such as blogger.com or wordpress.com and you should have signed up for Article Directories and created your killer signature link. Step #4 - Create a Simple Landing Page For Your Product

Before we do any promotion we need to have a simple landing page set up that will redirect anyone and everyone to the affiliate offer we are promoting. The good news is that you do not have to have your own website to do this. You can go to www.wordpress.com or www.blogger.com and set up a website in just a few minutes.

You can view the landing page I have created for my first offer here. As you can see it is a very simple page with a direct call to action.

Setting up your landing page can be done a few different ways and you will need to alter it depending on your product. There are a few great ways to make a good landing page.

Have a Simple Call To Action Landing Page

Like my landing page you can have a simple page that has a call to action. If you want to take a hold of this great offer click here now. Make your offer sound really great, really reliable and really easy. If you are promoting a product as opposed to a email submission offer then you will need to presell the customer and get them excited about the product before you give them a call to action.

This should be really easy to do on blogger or wordpress. Try to make your page have a white background (people respond well to white) and make sure that the links to your offer are prominent on your page and exist before the fold. This means make sure your customers don’t have to scroll down to find the link.

Have a Product Review Landing Page

If you are selling a product then a lot of people will want to read a review on the product before they purchase it. It can work to have a landing page that has a review of the product (but make sure you also include specific calls to action).

Simply sign up to be an affiliate of a product and then email the owner saying you would like a review copy because you plan to promote their product. 9 times out of 10 they will give you one free of charge.

Have an Information Site or Blog

Have an information site or blog that is completely about the niche your product is in. Every article should be in some way related to your product (the more specifically related the better) and each article should have a link to you affiliate site (and a call to action). This way people will not just feel like you are trying to give them something. But they will feel like you are helping them out. It is funny that by giving away free information you can often make a lot more money in sales.

So now you have completed step #4 of creating your landing page. This landing page will be essential in order to successful convert traffic to sales. So make sure it is as good as you can make it.

Step #3 - Find at Least 30 Keywords For Each Product

In order to promote our affiliate offers we are going to write articles which contain a signature link to your landing page. Before we do this we need to find some keywords that we are going to focus on in order to get traffic and results.

Firstly, let me just explain something. When people are searching the net they are doing it in three different mind frames.

The first mind frame is just surfing. These people type in generic terms like “surfboard”.

The second mind frame is someone who is researching. They will type in terms such as “Surfboard review” or even more specifically “JS Surfboard Review”

Then the third mind frame is the buying mind frame. These are the people you mainly want to target because you do not have to convince them to buy, you just need to provide them the opportunity to buy (or sign up). These people use specific searches such as “JS Combat Mode Surfboard 6′2″ or “Buy JS Combat Mode Surfboard” or “JS Combat Mode Surfboard Shipping Costs”. But focusing on these keywords you will target more buyers who are looking to buy.

Ok! Now that we know this we can begin our keyword research

How Do I Find Good Keywords To Use?

This is a good question and it has a very good answer. What we are going to do is focus our attention on finding optimized search results in Google. What does this mean?

Ok, lets put it plain and simple. Go into Google and type in a search option by put it in inverted Commas (” “). For example go to google and type in “Surfboard” this will give you over 3 MILLION search results. Now that is a lot of competition.

Now what we want to focus on is optimized search results that are between 1000-5000. This means there is less competition and a good chance that you can rank high in the search engines. So if we type in “JS Surfboard” then we get about 2,000 results. This is perfect.

So do your research on Google. Try to type in different search results that you think people looking for your product or service would be searching for. Generally the more words you use in a phrase the less results you will get.

Find at least 30 keywords for each of your 5 products. They don’t have to be exactly within the 1000-5000 range but it is better if they are. The less results the more likely you are going to rank high for that search term.

So this is how you do Step #3 and we are getting closer to our goal of making $50 per day within a month. Don’t rush, do this keyword research well and it will reap rewards later. You will end up having 150 targeted keywords (30 for each product).
